Spring Tides

Once the Stay Local restriction was eased, we were able to go a little further to our favourite coastal walk at Tollesbury.  Blackthorn blossom is out at present.

A reed bunting displaying.

The saltings harbour a range of bird life.  Walkways provide access to the mud moorings.

But what a change when we went again yesterday.

A high Spring tide had completely covered the mud banks and saltings.  Water had spilled out on to the roadway.

Meanwhile, inland, blossom was in full plumage.

And we passed this curious abandoned tanker.  Not clear what it is or how it got there at the field edge.
